Comments Module: This module allows other users to leave you comments. You can choose to have comments be public or private. There is an option in your message manager that allows you to have all your comments immediately become public.


Settings Overview

Comments Module Settings: Besides the general settings described in Part 5 of this guide you can also set the following:

  • Content Height: You can set the height for the entries from this dropdown. If you pick to fit the module it will resize to fit the whole entry.
  • Sort Order: You can sort by date or priority.
  • Comments to Display: Pick how many entries will load into the module. If you have more entries than the maximum entered the paging controls will show at the bottom of the module.
  • Date Format: Pick either long format (date and time), short (date only) or you can opt to not show the date.
  • Display New Link: This will show or hide the link to add new comments. Note: This link will only show in public page mode.
  • Display Sender Profile Pic: You can pick a size that the senders profile picture will be beside their message or not show it at all.
  • Display Description: You can add a description which goes at the top of the module. If you toggle the checkbox to the right you can turn-off this feature.
  • NOTE: When you recieve new comments they will be sent to your Message Manager.

Make sure to click the Save Button when you are done or you will lose your changes.

 

In the module settings you can set all the different options for your comments.

You can make the user icon quite large, comments from non-logged users will show as anonymous .


You can turn off the date or icon, also notice on the left that the description is turned on.

  • Did You Know?: You can change your user icon from either the Image Manager or from the Membership page.
  • Did You Know?: Are users telling you that they can't see a module or page on your profile page?  You might have them set to Private and not Public.
  • Did You Know?: Your page theme is just a start, you can pick a theme and then customize it from the style manager.
  • Did You Know?: If you want feedback from viewers of your page, just add a Comments Module to the page.
