Short Guide

User Page and Profile Wizard: Once you are complete the registration form it is recommended that you open the user page and profile wizard to help you set up your profile and personal web page.

First: Enter some information about yourself such as a small bio, your talents, your influences and music genres you prefer
Second: Upload media to your profile such as audio and video
Third: Select a style for your page. (You can customize a style later in your user settings)
Fourth: Add some common content to your page. (Content is added to your pages through modules)

Once you are complete the registration form you will be sent to the registration complete page. From this page it is recommended that you open the user page and profile wizard so you can get started on setting up your profile and personal web page.

Step 1: User Profile:

About Me:

Alias: The name that everyone will search for you as.
Bio: Write a short biography about yourself that other users can view.
Listening to: Choose solo artists/groups that you listen to most often. There is a predetermined list of artists in the dropdown menu that you can choose from. To quickly access particular artists just type in the first few letters of their name and they should appear in the dropdown box.

About Your Voice and Karaoke Preferences:

Your Voice: Choose solo artists/groups that you sound similar to. There is a predetermined list of artists in the dropdown menu that you cans choose from. To quickly access particular artists just type in the first few letters of their name and they should appear in the dropdown box.
Preferred Genres: Select genres that you listen to the most.

This will give other users an idea of who you are.

Step 2: Uploading Media:

Images:

Profile Picture: This will be the image that appears for you throughout the website.

Click the select button and browse your computer for the image you are going to upload.
Choose the folder you want to put the image in from the dropdown box located underneath the fields. (You can change the folder that the images are in afterwards)

Additional Images: You can upload up to 5 images in this section.

Click the select button and browse your computer for the image you are going to upload (Repeat in all fields).
Name all the images that you are uploading. (If you don’t name them they won’t upload)
Choose the folder you want to put the images in from the dropdown box located underneath the fields. (You can change the folder that the images are in afterwards)

Post a picture to be your profile picture and post whatever other type of pictures you want.

Step 3: Select your page style:

Page Layout

Choose between having a one or two column layout. You can change the layout whenever you like fromt the user settings area.

Page Theme

Choose one of the styles from the dropdown menu. You will be able to view a preview of the layout underneath the dropdown menu. (You can customize the layout later in your style manager under your user settings).

Apply a personal touch to your profile.

Did You Know?: If you want feedback from viewers of your page, just add a Comments Module to the page.

Did You Know?: You can use the Embedded Media module to add video from most of the major video hosting sites.

Did You Know?: You can set modules and pages to Private while you are setting them up so no one else can see them until you are ready.

Did You Know?: You can change your user icon from either the Image Manager or from the Membership page.

This just in!!: We've added new themes including country based themes. Check them out from your Style Manager.

Did You Know?: Are users telling you that they can't see a module or page on your profile page? You might have them set to Private and not Public.

Did You Know?: You can have multiple Blog modules on your page. Create one for show reviews and another for your music rants.

Did You Know?: Want organize other user's music? The MeAndMic.com playlist manager will allow you to collect songs into separate playlists.
