About KWCUSA

The Karaoke World Championships USA LLC(KWCUSA) is the exclusive sanctioned United States representative for the Karaoke World Championships, to conduct all official KWC activitites in the U.S.A. and activities required to select the participants to represent the U.S.A. in KWC competitions domestically and overseas.

Competition has been held in USA since 2007 and has grown from 3 states to over 30 states. We have always placed in top ten in the world and as high as second place. We would love to bring home the gold.

Interest has grown so much that ABC will actually have camera crews, and producers at each of our regional and national events.

What's New

Apr 30, 2010 MeAndMic KWC Update

Over the next week MeAndMic will apply the first set of our KWC features. First check out our KWC pages featuring rules and background information. Canada and USA country pages will also go up giving more information on how to compete as well as listings for live venue competition.

The second phase set to tie into our full launch in May will include the online competition feature for MeAndMic US and Canadian members to compete for positions in the regional and national finals.

For 2010, the US is divided into 3 regions with 55 states (California, Florida and Texas are divided into multiple states). Click on a region below to find out more about venue competitions in that region, details on the state championships and more.

Compete Online

Coming soon MeAndMic.com members from selected countries to enter as online competitors for the KWC. Members will qualify through the initial round based on member plays, member ratings and overall activity. Qualified members will move onto a judgement phase where they can win both the online title and prizes as well as qualify for the live regional and national competition to play off against the venue winners.

  • Did You Know?: Want organize other user's music? The MeAndMic.com playlist manager will allow you to collect songs into separate playlists.
  • Some Music Trivia: The first video played on MTV was 'Video Killed the Radio Star' by The Buggles.
  • Did You Know?: You can change your user icon from either the Image Manager or from the Membership page.
  • Did You Know?: Your page theme is just a start, you can pick a theme and then customize it from the style manager.
  • Some Music Trivia: Aerosmith's "Dude looks like a lady" was written about Vince Neil of Motley Crue.
  • Did You Know?: You can have multiple Blog modules on your page.  Create one for show reviews and another for your music rants.
  • Coming Soon: Head to Head competition. Your recordings against other user's.
  • Did You Know?: Are users telling you that they can't see a module or page on your profile page?  You might have them set to Private and not Public.
  • Some Music Trivia: Ironically the only member of ZZ Top that doesn't have a beard is Frank Beard.
  • Did You Know?: You can use the Embedded Media module to add video from most of the major video hosting sites.
  • This just in!!: We've added new themes including country based themes. Check them out from your Style Manager.
  • Did You Know?: You can set modules and pages to Private while you are setting them up so no one else can see them until you are ready.
  • Did You Know?: If you want feedback from viewers of your page, just add a Comments Module to the page.
  • Some Music Trivia: The only 20th century tenors recorded to be capable of hitting 'e' over high 'c' were Enrico Caruso and Roy Orbison.
