KWC Canada (Profile Page)

Welcome

The KWC in Canada is brought to you by MeAndMic.com. We had a successful first year of participation and 2011 was even better. Expanding with online entries, we were able to open the contest to everyone, everywhere in the country for the Canadian National Finals.

The road to Kilarney Ireland and the 2011 Karaoke World Championships rolled fast and furious through Canada with 20 of the country’s best all competing to represent. 3 rounds of competition saw the 12 Female and 8 Male competitors cut down to a final 3 in each category. In a surprise twist to the evening, the Fan Favorite vote from the audience came to a tie. In the end, Trevor Dunn was awarded the Top Male Canadian Champion, and Jerrica Santos the Top Female Grand Champion. Both competitors will go on to represent Canada at the Karaoke World Championships September 8th – 10th.

Canadian National Championships (July 21st 2011)

Congratulations! The crowd called for a “sing off”, but the judges opted to allow both a Male and Female to compete in the final round. So it all came down to 8 amazing singers.

In the end... Trevor Dunn was awarded the Top Male Canadian Champion, and Jerrica Santos the Top Female Grand Champion. Both Competitors received a 1 year Gold Membership to MeAndMic.com, Vocal Training from RSA Academy, a JM-5 from Roland Canada, airfare to Killarney Ireland, accommodation at the I.N.E.C. Convention Center and $500 spending money to represent Canada against 20 other countries at the 2011 Karaoke World Championships!!!
